Grandmas here!
Aren't we cute?
The first few weeks!
The first few weeks after bringing the babies home were extremely difficult. From recovering from my complicated c-section to the boys peeing out of their diapers every half hour, somehow we got through it. I know that we couldn't have gotten through it without the help of my mom, sister, and my best friend in the whole world- Erica. Thank you so much!

August 3, 2007- Due date!!!
Well, I made it to 36 weeks gestation (I was shooting for 37-38). Triplet pregnancies are automatically delivered at 36 weeks so that no complications arise. I was so nervous when I went into the hospital (fear of the spinal) that I actually put myself into labor while waiting for the operating room. Talk about good timing. Anyway, everything was fime and my 3 beautiful babies were born: Andrew David, born at 3:57pm, 5# 9oz., Sofia Rose David, born at 3:58pm, 5# 3oz., and Florian David, born at 3:59pm, 5# 2oz. All three were healthy and beautiful! Apgar readings on all 3 were 8 and 9, which is great (10 is perfect) and resulted in no NICU time!!! All 3 came home with us 4 days later on August 7, 2007. Hospitalized!

On July 30, 2007 I went in for my normal, routine check up. I had been extremely swollen for the past week due to the extremely hot weather that we had been experiencing, and of course from being 35 weeks pregnant and HUGE! Anyway, I didn't think that anything was wrong because I felt fine, well I was wrong. When the nurse took my blood pressure, it was 190/115!!! My doctor immediately admitted me into the hospital for round the clock observation (high blood pressure is a sign of pre-eclampsia). If my blood pressure would not have gone back to normal, they would have delivered the babies that day, luckily it normalized and I went home the next morning. Here is a few pictures of what I looked like at 35 weeks and in the hospital. Throughout the whole pregnancy, I thought that my belly wasn't that big. Now that I look back, I WAS HUGE!!!

The baby shower!

May 19, 2006, was the most wonderful day, when all of the gifts poured in from friends, family and even from people that I didn't even know (about 50 people attended). It is incredible to experience true generosity and kindness! Some of the things that I received included: 3000+ diapers and wipes, 3 swings, hundreds of clothes, hundreds of wash clothes, lots of toys, etc. All of the things that we received barely fit into my livingroom. I just have to say "THANK YOU" to all of you who supported our growing family!
The sex of the babies are revealed!
Fainting spells!
I was having my 18 week ultrsound, when all of a sudden I pretty much pass out on the exam table. I nurse told me that it was probably from the babies pressing on my aorta, blocking airflow to my brain, causing me to black out until I turn off my back. Apparently, this is common with multiples. Right after this happened, my OBGYN told my that I should probably think about going on bed rest around week 20. I didn't listen and I went back to work. About a week after this happened, I went to church with one of my coworkers and found myself almost passing out while sitting, not laying. I at first thought that it may have been my blood sugar level being too low, but after drinking some orange juice and waiting a little while longer, it happened again. So, after the service, My friend/ coworker, being a nurse practitioner, decided that I shouldn't drive so she drove me home. The next Monday, at work, the same thing happened again. Luckily, I had my 20 week appointment with my OBGYN and he then said that I can no longer drive, work, etc. for the remainder of the pregnancy. WOW, thats a long time! I was not on bed rest, I was ordered to stay off my feet and back so that I don't pass out and hurt the babies. So, on May 11, 2006, I stopped working and driving.
The planning begins!
After th initial shock of "we are having 3", all the thoughts started to pur into our heads. Oh my gosh, we need 3 of everything, 3 cribs, 3 swings, 3 bouncy seats, etc. Then we started to think about all of the diapers and wipes that we are going to need, and how much clothes that they are going to go through. The more and more we thought about it, the more and more often we got headaches. (Mainly Flo) I was pretty optimistic the whole time, always thinking "no problem, we will get through it somehow".
